The Grenfell Tower fire on the 14th of June 2017 was devastating. Since then voluntary organisations, charities, local businesses and public bodies have sprung forward to support those affected. They are offering a wide variety of types of support. However, there is a real challenge in coordinating these resources, to ensure those who desperately need support are kept informed about the ongoing help available, and how to access it. There is a daily flood of information from various websites and social media channels, making it difficult to source relevant information about the relief available.
The Grenfell Support app aims to fill the need to curate information relating to the available services in the local area and further afield and to make it more accessible to those in need.
